Closing of SoftExpo 2010, organized by BASIS |

 Closing Ceremony of SoftExpo 2010 was held in the evening on February 13, 2010 at Harmony, Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
Lt. Col. (Rtd.) Muhammad Faruk Khan, MP, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of Bangladesh, was the chief guest in the ceremony while Mr. AKM Abdul Awal Mazumder, Secretary, Ministry of Science & ICT, Mr. Ghulam Hussain, Secretary (In-Charge), Ministry of Commerce and Mr. Md. Shahab Ullah, Vice Chairman, Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), were the special guests. Mr. Tanveer Mohammad, Deputy Chief Technical Officer and Director, Technology Division, Grameenphone, was the Guest of Honour. Mr. Habibullah N Karim, President, Mr. Nahid Ahmad, Secretary General, and Ms. Farhana A Rahman, Treasuer of BASIS were also present among others.

Events held on the 4th day of SoftExpo 2010 |

 On the fourth day of the SoftExpo 2010 on February 13, three seminars and four technical sessions were held at the venue of the expo at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
The titles of the seminars were: i) A2I: Roadmap to Digital Bangladesh, organized by BASIS ii) Financial Inclusion Using Mobile Technology, organized by BASIS and Grameenphone and iii) Strategic position of Bangladesh in global demographic shift; Demand for IT skill workforce.

Events held on the 3rd day of the SoftExpo 2010 |

 On the third day of the SoftExpo 2010 on February 12, one technical session, one seminar and one roundtable were held at the venue of the expo at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
At 10:30 am the technical session on “iPhone Application Development” was held at Green View, BICC, Agargaon, Dhaka. The objective of the seminar was to build shared community, to encourage local ICT talents in sharing experience and grow joint venture initiatives for developing iPhone applications.

Events held on the 2nd day of the SoftExpo 2010 |

|
 On the second day of the SoftExpo 2010 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC), Agargaon, Dhaka two seminars and one panel discussion were held. The titles of the seminars were: Supporting Digital Bangladesh Initiative: A Microsoft Approach; and Enhancing Government Capacity to Enforce IPR. Topic of the Panel Discussion was IP Telephony Market in Bangladesh.

 SoftExpo 2010 kicked off today on February 10, 2010 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC), Agargaon, Dhaka.
Mr. Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Finance Minister, Government of Bangladesh was the Chief Guest in the SoftExpo. Lt. Col. (Retd.) Faruk Khan, Hon’ble Commerce Minister and Architect Yeafesh Osman, State Minister for Science and ICT, and Mr. Einar Jensen, Ambassador of Denmark in Bangladesh, were Special Guests. Mr. Annisul Huq, President, FBCCI and Mr. Oddavar Hesjedal, CEO, Grameenphone Ltd. were Guests of Honour.
